The Punishers were able to come back and take the lead with a TD pass to Javelle and with the xp to Mark Cline The Punishers lead 7-6 at half. In the 2n half Da Truth was able to drive the ball but never get the ball in the end zone. The lone score of the 2nd half came from a long catch and pitch with Adam Velez taking it into the end zone. Final Score Punishers 14 Da Truth 6. Game MVP: Javelle The leagues newest team BNK faced over against another GSL team Cover 2. BNK took advantage of their athletes and deep threats as "D" scored 2 times for BNK. Cover 2 never gave up and fought hard till the end almost pulling within 1 score late in the game. But BNK held tough and won the game 25-13. Game MVP: "D" Redzone then faced off against Tough Draw. Two of the more veteran teams around fought all the way to the end but Tough Draw was able to hold on and secure a 20-12 win. Game MVP: Tyron BNK then faced off against a surging Life Center team. Life Center proved to be too much as they dominated the day and won going away 25-6. Game MVP: Redzone then played our youngest but most enthusiastic team in the league The Bulldawgs. The experience of Redzone proved too much as the won the game 19-0. The Bulldawgs are a very young team and will improve as they learn the game. Game MVP: Pete Next was a growing rivalry in the league as the two veteran teams of Goin Deep and The Regulators faced off again. Goin Deep has the mental edge as they have never been beaten by the Regulators. The same story held true in this match up as the Goin Deep Defense shut out the normally high powered offense of the Regulators. Goin Deep wins this one 19-0. Game MVP: Goin Deep Defense In the final game of the day Just Rite played the athletic S.W. Raiders. Experience out dueled the athletes as Just Rite held on to a 14-0 victory. S.W. is loaded with talent but is learning how to use those athletes in the 7-Man style of play. Game MVP: Mel 7-Man Screen
